Perhaps Patricia and Miriam would have met at the music trials in Ada but the previous letter arrived just a bit too late. The Dr. Altmaier that she mentions married her cousin. Research from the internet reveals that he practiced medicine in Marion and passed away in 1986 where he is buried.

I did not know where Archbold, Ohio was…but unlike 1942, today we have the internet. It is in northern Ohio and considered a village with a population of less than 5,000.

This letter traveled a long way from Suffolk England. Interesting that she speaks of a bomb landing 60 yards away from her house somewhat nonchalantly.
